IKAROS
Commissioned by La Jolla Playhouse for the 2019 Without Walls Festival, Ikaros was an audience-centered walking tour through a desert garden path, located on the grounds of a former naval base under the active sky of a nearby airport. Over the course of three months, I designed and built mechanical prop and costume pieces, utilizing sheet metal fabrication tools, CNC machining, soft goods needlecraft, and basic machining tools to create articulated wing mechanisms.
